The codes range from Ugx 20.000/= to Ugx 200.000/=, which the offender has to pay or clear within 28 days.

Pay traffic fines via MTN mobile money

  1. Go to phonr and Dial *185*4*5# and press Ok.
  2. Choose URA option 1
  3. Choose option 1
  4. Select option 1
  5. Key in the offense code.
  6. Fill in the Reference number
  7. Enter preferred Car plate number
  8. Input the Traffic officer’s number (optional)
  9. Enter your driving permit number
  10. Enter your MTN mobile money Pin and then send

How to Check Traffic Police Fines in Uganda

How to check traffic Police fines in Uganda is another challenge that drivers face. That’s why i have put this step by step instruction guide to teach how to check traffic Police fines in Uganda:

  • Go to the URA web website which is www.ura.go.ug.
  • Log into your account with URA details.
  • Click on E-services and choose Payments
  • Select Registration, under the Payments menu
  • Select DT from the drop-down menu as payment type
  • Choose Other NTR under Tax Head
  • Under Ministry/ Department/Agency, Choose Police New Express Penalty
  • Enter your Ticket Number.
  • To check your Ticket number simple message EPS to 8888.
  • At the bottom of the page, please choose the mode of payment. You can either pay Online or use mobile Payment

What is the fine for over speeding in Uganda?

The fine for the offence can range from Ugx 20,000/= to Ugx 200,000/=, and must be paid or settled within 28 days. Once a payment has been made for an EPS Ticket, the offence is considered resolved.
