The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) released the results of the January 2023 CEOs Survey, which is conducted biannually before the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting.
The aim of the Survey is to gain insight into top firms’ perceptions, expectations and issues of concern.
CBK uses the Survey to get a more precise view of the changing economy, combined with information from other sources, to help the MPC make informed decisions.
The Survey is part of a larger project including the Market Perceptions Survey and Agriculture Sector Survey.
The January Survey asked CEOs to express their opinion on various topics such as business confidence, recent business activity and the outlook for business activity over the next few months.
Additionally, it sought to identify the internal and external factors that may influence business outlook and strategic decisions in the medium term.
